We’re pleased to announce that Rain City Flyers will be fielding a Spring/Summer Track program for 2022. Practices are scheduled to begin Wednesday, June 1 and will continue through the end of the USATF Junior Olympics, which run through the middle of July.
Rain City Flyers Track provides a focus on Middle and Long Distance track events. Field events and other specific track events may be coached with prior arrangement with our coaching staff. Our track program focuses on grade school through middle school ages, 7 through 14. For the months of March through May we encourage athletes to participate in the Seattle Parks & Recreation track program through their local community center or their school athletics programs.
The Rain City Flyers Track practices will be held at Nathan Hale High School Stadium Monday and Wednesday evenings from June through late July, with Saturdays generally reserved for USATF Association club meets. Practices last 1.5 hours and will be held from 7:00 to 8:30 PM.
Our practices will be conducted in general conformance with the prevailing public health protocols in practice at the time, and as required by our training facility. Actual protocols will depend on how things are looking in the community at large during the Spring months leading up to practices. Rain City coaches are committed to practicing the best and safest approach to athletic training and competition for 2022.
